Cedar Brook International was formed in 1997 with the sole purpose of sourcing, developing and overseeing quality control for International clients. At present, we are responsible for the export of products to such markets as: Europe, The Americas (North, Central and South), Australia, and the Middle East. Initially specializing in wood juvenile products we have recently expanded to include youth and adult wood furniture as well as metal juvenile items and related metal furniture. Mark Hesketh, the sole owner and founder of Cedar Brook, has extensive experience and knowledge in the Asian region starting in 1992. Before 1992, he completed an undergraduate degree in Commerce and a post graduate cooperative program in Asian Pacific Studies. In 1991 he traveled throughout the Asian Region. Still today, he travels extensively to Asia to further expand his knowledge and business base. From 1992 to 1997 he oversaw and developed the South East Asian sourcing network for Generation Two Worldwide (formally know as Nelson Juvenile). At that time, he was stationed in Semarang, Indonesia. From 1997 to 1998, Mark stayed in Indonesia to establish Cedar Brook’s Indonesian infrastructure and then in 1998 moved the head office for Cedar Brook International to Canada.

Over the course of the last eleven years the overseas operations of Cedar Brook International has expanded to both diversify clients specific country risk but more so, to take advantage of other country’s strengths. Whether it is a specific timber resource or infrastructure and subcontracting support, each country in Asia has their own strengths and weaknesses. To focus on only one area can be risky down the road. As such, Cedar Brook International has divided up Asia into four independent offices. They are: Cedar Brook Indonesia, Cedar Brook Malaysia, Cedar Brook China and Cedar Brook Vietnam. All offices in Asia are coordinated from Canada to maximize a clients overall program objectives.

Indonesian Office
These regional offices follow up on head office instructions as per our clients’ needs. These range from the sourcing of new suppliers, overseeing product development, standards testing (when applicable), and most importantly the implementation of quality assurance programs. Our teams of experienced and dedicated inspectors work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with internal company quality standards as well as industry standards.

From both the Cedar Brook Indonesian office and the Cedar Brook China office all operations of Cedar Brook International are further supported by a team of AutoCAD designers producing such items as: Instruction sheets, 3D color product drawings, box markings, product warning and information labels, technical drawings as well as other promotional material for both suppliers and clients.

The Cedar Brook International office in Canada coordinates all overseas operations as well as administrative, financial, and logistics needs.
